how do I draw treads?

I Was trying to do a whole bunch of different stuff and treads was one of them so anyone want to give me a hint on how to draw it so that it moves like treads would...also the same question for a cable/ pulley system

sorry it took so long

ok well im not exactly sure how to draw treads without protruding metal but this is how i was shown at technokats

draw a U shape like (l_l) and then make a oval path and attach the U to the path and animate then add more and work with the speed and stuff. sorry this isnt too detailed but it worked in 3ds and look cool

I don't think you can make treads a moving part. I think all you can do is draft it as it is and let the wheels spin, but not the treads on it. Maybe you can contact tech support and see if they do have a way that it can be done.

the way i was shown was to have the treads move around the oval path and it worked. im not 3ds pro...yet...but we drew the part in autodesk, imported and i worked fine. if im wrong, sorry, but it worked for me
