Million Dollar Prize Robot Race
I bet some FIRST teams could be competitive in this:
http://www.darpa.mil/grandchallenge/index.htm The $1,000,000 prize money would certainly take care of fundraising needs for a few years! |

i checked out this site and its intriguing. Its a long shot that any First team could win an autonomous race from L.A. to Las Vegas, but if you could the money could support a team for a decade or so (and i mean all Expenses: fees, parts, hotels, food, supplies, ect.). The work for that long range of a trip would however be harder than any first robot to build.
Anyhow this site is cool and is worth considering. |
