Microcontrollers

Is the use of a microcontroller allowed. In Update 4 it said that there could only be one control system. So can you use a microcontroller with the robot's controller to make one control system or is it prohibited?

You can use a microcontroller as part of your custom circuit, as long as it complies with Rule C29. With the restrictions of this rule, it is impossible to create a custom control system, so the ruling in update 4 is not really new.

So by the rule can a microcontroller read a signal from an output device and send it to the robot controller?
