Auto GUI
Well, following in the footsteps of the great RBayer, i have decided to write something useful. I will soon present a gui that writes autonomous code. It will consist of clicking on a pic of the field to add way points, and they doing all the fun math to translate this into PBASIC code. If people could tell me how they intend to steer their robot, and the code involved, I would be more than happy to add their styles to the program. IE My team does not use crab steering, so I don't know how to do it code wise. It should be posted by sunday. In the mean time, those interested in using the GUI should begin to write two key functions. One that moves the robot forward x units, and another that rotates it x degrees. Doesn't matter what these units are, as long as they are linear. (one distance unit is half the length of two distance units).
Thanks all, and please pardon my spelling If anyone already did this, I appologise for stepping on their toes. Could you post a link to it? I have not found one yet. Eric |

Sounds cool, albiet perhaps a bit late for most teams to use it. My suggestion is you include the ability to turn slowly and move forward/backward. You didn't mention it and I thought it to be a useful thing to have.
