How does the schedule go?

How does the course of events run at the regional competitions? I have a feeling our robot is not gonna pass inspection, so when do we have to fix it after we take it out of the crate?

Also what's the deal with bringing stuff to your regional? Do you have to pack your tools in the crate? b/c i don't see why you wouldn't just take them with you?

Basically, the events are run over three days..

Thursday is practice day and inspection day- you have your robot inspected sometime during the day, and if it fails inspection you have to modify your bot until it passes inspection.

Friday and Saturday have the qualifying and elimination rounds..

You can take your tools personally, some teams just like to ship their tools with their robot.. 2 years ago we shipped an enormous tool crate with our robot...

Guys, participating in the SCRRF Sectional would have answered those kinds of questions. How come you weren't there?

It was only $50 for the SCRRF. Do you still have time to have your mentor team come down and inspect you to see if they see any violations? Every team at the SCRRF had a crash course in FIRST inspections using official inspection sheets.

When there's a problem call us. We would have made sure you got there. Sorry we didn't call to make sure you were going.

Next time (I know you won't be rookies next time) We'll make sure to call the rookies to make sure they're going.

Great idea. Your place or ours. Our student was inspector. You guys got a lot of advice from Dale Hall last time you were up too.

Sorry it's already gone

we'll be fine. I don't think that the problems will take to long to fix, maybe just change some wire guages.. i don't know.

Actually it was 150 for us, b/c we're not part of SCRRF

We'll be at the Los Angeles Regional. Are you going to any regionals before then? (I didn't see you on the list for Phoenix -- the only other regional we are going to.)

If you still need help at L.A., we'll be happy to help or provide direction.
