Looks like a pretty sweet machine. Is the arm designed to stack as well?
The frame is still beautiful and the turret look nice as well. I don't want that big arm anywhere near the stacks our robot works so hard to create. Great Job. Adam |

Team Rush thanks you for your compliments! Coming from Truck and MIROBOWRx is a sincere compliment. The Truck machine is an awesome looking 'Bot this year! I am impressed with all the tube welding! .083 or .049 Aluminum tube is a challenge to welld. Nice job. We look forward to playing with you! The last photos I saw of 857's 'Bot looked great! Although I thought you guys would have tried the Kilough again.
The arm is multipurpose. We originally had a claw that was to stack bins, however we may have to remove the claw arms to make weight. There is a tube support that held the claw arms which may stay to assist in knocking bins around as well as provide support when we are trying to defend our position on the ramp. In the chasis, we are using 2 drills and 2 Atwood motors similar to last year. One major difference is shifting using pneumatics though! Shifting is now reliable and consistant. No more awful grinding noises present! We are a 6 wheeler. 4 pneumatic wheels in the corners, good old fashioned Skyway wheels in the center to ease pivoting. We do have a little suprise in store regarding the wheel configuration... Don't what to give away all the goods now do we? Again thank you for noticeing our machine. It means a lot to our students who put there heart and soul into the design and construction of this machine. Without them, I don't know how we have finished it!! Good luck to you all!! PMGRACER |

Very clean design...
Team RUSH! Awesome robot.
Very clean design. I like the turret (if i am seeing correctly). I like the tubular arm design with the extention. I like the chassis -- especially the welded in "torque tubes" running from side to side. I love tubular designs -- 0.049 wall tube is difficult to weld but ah when you get it right... ...light as air stong like bull. Team RUSH has really taking a quantum leap in robot design this year (at least as far as I can tell from one picture). Keep up the great work. Joe J. |

I can tell all 6 wheels are on a surface, including the pnuematic and skyway that are on the mesh. Nice, clean looking bot. Good job Rush, always a pleasure to see what you folks come up with. |

I am curious to know what gave that idea? From the photos, any linkage or cyclinders are hidden. You must be telepathic or a real sharp observer!!
Actually, the center wheel is allowed to pull up into the chasis when on the ramp. That lowers our center of gravity a little and helps keep at leat 3 wheels planted when we might have to approach on an angle. We force the wheels down when not on the ramp to improve manuverability. Without that center wheel, turning is impossible!! The Mountainboard tires have a tad more traction than the conveyor belt rubber does! Also, 6 wheelers as well as tank tread bots will teeter when at the crest of the ramp unless you pull the center up. Making for some ample oppurtunity to get tipped off the ramp!!!![]() |
