Ooo, this is fun

I have aquired through various means the nicknames of Code Warrior and Perfect 10. Code Warrior because I'm a programmer, and Perfect 10 because I sometimes was the human player during our offseason comps, and they would say "all you have to do is get 10 balls in, no more" (well, 10 was all we could throw! ), so I said at the end of each match "I got a perfect 10." Eventually I jokingly called myself "Perfect 10," and it just stuck.

Oh ... and ask another member of my team about the title "Madhatter"

Stephen

Well...this didn't start in robotics...but it gets confusing when around school friends and robotics friends. I got the nickname 'Chuck' in French II (loooong story...)... and, well, our robot name is Chuck. Luckily, nobody on the robotics team calls me by my nickname. But it's confusing when we do demo's and people from my school try to talk to me.

Ehh...my real name is Grant...and at robotics, there is a lot of talk about grants...like the money things. It gets confusing!(*&@#$(*&

Talking Goose!

hehehe, my name has 2 origins...

i have this thing for geese, stemming from my 7th grade year, our science olympiad team made it to state, and the morning we were leaving the hotel, we see geese outside. anyways, dont EVER EVER tick geese off. we did, and they statred like, chasing us, and i ws the last person, and ran into the hotel again. unfortunately for me, there were those double door thingies, and the goose got in after me b/c the door closed slow, and the people inside the hotel were holding the other door closed so the goose couldn't get it with me, so there i was, me and a goose. it was crazy and wanted out, so i had to not get it angrier than it was and run back out the other door. so because geese are crazy when they're mad, like i can be, that's where i got it mostly.

also, our team has nicknames, and everyone had topgun names, and because of the above story, i chose goose! and it kinda stuck when i chose my delphi name,(actually, it's my second name, a while back when i had aol i was elyse71 but i forgot the password, and since we cancelled our aol account, i never found out the password again, thus forcing me to make a new one.) well yeah, so it stuck.

My nick name is One Angry Dwarf, or Dwarf, or Jtosh.

My real name is Josh but i decided one day that i was going to start spelling it with a silent T so we started writing my name as Jtosh on alot of stuff for robotics as a joke, and well some people didn't get the silent part so it has stuck and now its jtosh.

One Angry Dwarf is the name of a Ben Folds song and back during my first year on the team we had nick names on our Jerseys that the advisors picked... my serugate father Kevin picked the name for me cuz we were both fans of ben folds and as he put it "Its the whole little john or tiny thing, they always call the big guy by a name that implies he is small cuz its funnier that way!" So it stuck but has been shorted to Dwarf in most cases just because its easier to yell in the pits.

Oi Vey! The Nicknames

Ok, well....Not that all these came from robotics but I have a few too many nicknames.

Moose, from sixth or seventh grade was given to me as a joke. I had a crush on a kid who was called beaver because of his overbite and as a both mean and fun thing a friend called me Moose since I was pretty tall at that age and well...Moose and Beaver. Like Moose and Squriell. Heh. Don't ask.

If any of you have seen, or rather heard, me at competitions I'm really LOUD and annoying. I have a bad habit of bouncing and chirping and making weird noises for no other reason then I can. Thus, Furby, came and stayed.

I've also been called Eri which is just a nice shortening of Erin, my real name. Why you'd need to shorten it any more is beyond my understanding.

Eri Berri Cherri Pie and Eri Blue Berri have also been used in conjunction with Eri. Why? I don't know.

Oh Yes, on more..TiggerGirl. Bouncing issue. LOL. I did it in disney with family and friends and whelp...that's what they called me.

I have too many nicknames to list off, but Hacksaw is my robotics name. I remember the day that I actually got my nickname. I believe it was the during the first few days when we started building last year. The aluminum L channels needed to be cut and the task was given to another girl. Heh, it was kinda funny watching her. I gave a couple of pointers to her cause she was going about it all wrong, so she made me do it. Our engineer thought that I did a pretty good job and made me cut some more.

At one point during the day, the hacksaw went missing. People were asking where the hacksaw went and I responded for some strange reason. *shrugs* And when they did find it, our other engineer asked for the "hacksaw girl" as she did not yet know my name. So I was dubbed "Hacksaw" as time went on.

As it says in my sig, if you come to team 692's pit and ask for a hacksaw, I will respond.

My name...is Coco...

Yeah, you might have guessed already, but my nickname is Coco.

I was talking to a friend of mine on our team, and he said "You know what Vince? You need a nickname."

So he started calling me Coco, and I guess it spread.
