Gracious Professionalism Award

Our team will be interviewing and accepting nominations for a Gracious Professionalism Award to be presented to a team at each Phoenix and LA Regional.

We'd like to offer the opportunity for Chief Delphi Community to discuss their nominations of teams, or individuals, IF they were nominating someone (these do not qualify for the award we'll be giving out, and NO need to post those you would NOT nominate), and specific instances of Gracious Profesionalism qualities.

Here's the criteria...

TRUSTWORTHINESS
1) Little to none shown toward team members/other teams.
2) Some trustworthiness shown toward/by members.
3) Average amount of trustworthiness shown.
4) Above average trustworthiness shown.
5) Team is always loyal, honest, reliable, doing the right thing, has a good reputation.

RESPECT
1) Little to none shown toward team members/other teams.
2) Some respect shown toward/by members.
3) Average amount of respect shown.
4) Above average respect shown.
5) Team is always tolerant, well-mannered, considerate of others; deals peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements.

RESPONSIBILITY
1) Little to none shown toward team members/otherteams.
2) Some responsibility shown.
3) Average amount of responsibility shown.
4) Above average responsibility shown.
5) Team is always considering consequences, persevering, accountable, self-disciplined; doing their best and what they should be doing.

FAIRNESS
1) Little to none shown toward team members/other teams.
2) Some fairness shown.
3) Average amount of fairness shown.
4) Above average fairness shown.
5) Team is always sharing, taking turns, open-minded, easily resolving conflicts, playing by the rules.

CARING
1) Little to none shown toward team members/other teams.
2) Some caring shown.
3) Average amount of caring shown.
4) Above average caring shown.
5) Team is always compassionate, helpful, forgiving, grateful and kind.

CITIZENSHIP
1) Little to none shown toward team members/other teams.
2) Some citizenship shown.
3) Average amount of citizenship shown.
4) Above average citizenship shown.
5) Team is always seeking to obey rules, cooperate, and make things better.

Isnt there already a Sportmanship award? I always thought that it was a Gracious Professionalism award in everything but name.

Yes, there is. In fact, our team won it at the Lone Star Regional last year.

But I don't see anything wrong with a team wishing to present its own. The criteria listed seem pretty reasonable.
