Team384's New Website!

After a few days of intense coding.. our website is finally up..

The images are not ready but the coding is..

We are also in the works of getting our domain to redirect to our hosting site.

Anyways here's the link to our site...
http://sparky.pengytek.net/html/index.php

Enjoy and please feel free to post comments

Thanks

It looks allright, nice as a starter site, I would however maybe break away from the PHPnuke in the future, if you have the money do VB or a knockoff of it. If you are good you can do the prgramming your self and set up your own database. (Just an idea)

Overall Good.

I think the phpNuke looks nice but I would get rid of their name and logos everywhere.

It looks really good. With a change of the images, it should be a nice website. I suspect you can also customize the modules?

If it wasn't fully customizable, why would he use it?

Because it's an easy to use solution?

That's the main aim of PHP-Nuke.

Post-Nuke is aiming for customization.

Um, Pat, I thought this was supposed to be for the team *only*. I thought that Sparky384.com will direct to the old page. Man, I need to go to Clarke again...

I'm saying that PHP-Nuke and Post Nuke have different objectives.

The Post Nuke team WAS part of the PHP-Nuke team, but when PHP-Nuke began to take a turn towards "user friendliness" as opposed to customization they broke off to form the Post Nuke project.

Post Nuke's aims are to allow complete customization. They're based off of the PHP-Nuke code, so they are very similar in software maturity and in functionality.

PHP-Nuke is sort of the de facto standard for portal software. I prefer other solutions to these (Geeklog or a custom solution), but PHP-Nuke is the easiest to maintain and setup, but you sacrifice a certain degree of cusomization in order to gain this ease of use.

No Joseph i'm just getting some opinions about the site..

At the meeting Robert and I decided on how to run the site and make it easier for our younger team members who don't know html

So nuke was the easier solution..

We decided to use Nuke because it was the best way to make it easy for our Newcomers to our group to use..

Once again if anyone finds any troubles with the site please let me know..

Thanks and good luck to all the teams when season starts
