Maybe eventually.

We could have groups you can join, which coincide with your team role. (ie: drivers have a group, etc)

Why? Why not.

Usergroups, from an admin standpoint, allow me to give special priveledges to different users. You can belong to more than one group. So for instance, I made a 'lots of pm' group. They have storage for 500 private messages. Then I can add people (or have people automatically be added) based on reputation scores, post count, length of membership, etc.

that would work ... good idea.

Once things settle down, we'll make organization usergroups. I believe you can set them up to have a moderator and have people request a spot in the user group. You can then have little icons or something in the user details, to signify that you are in that group.

I think that is how it works with other forum software.

um.. i did a bit of playing and found that one needs the necessary permissions to view the members. (I'm 99% sure of it ) I'm sure in time, and as he sees fit, Brandon will add those.
