Unhappy ball activation

can we throw a ball at the 10 point ball to release the chute ? Just wanted to put that out there, adn also wanted to say that its a HORRIBLE idea not having a hardcopy of the rules, so much for my toilet reading.

During the AUTONOMOUS PERIOD, the Ball Release will release an alliance’s SMALL balls when a BONUS BALL is removed from either of that alliance’s BALL TEEs. If the Ball Release is not activated during the AUTONOMOUS PERIOD, the balls will be released 45 seconds into the match. Teams may remove BONUS BALLs after the AUTONOMOUS PERIOD, however that action will not trigger the Ball Release. Each alliance Ball Release acts independently from the other alliance’s Ball Release.

To me it seems that if you don't get the ball off during the Auto Period you will have to wait till the 45 seconds is up.

This seems to be idea i get...you either get it in auto or wait...i did think about hitting it via throwing but i doubt it...so you better get that activated in auto, or you will be driving around for 30 seconds with not too much offense on your side....i guess

Re: ball activation

No human player interaction can happen durring autonomous. This includes collecting balls, throwing balls, and other things that they might do.

As for the printed manual, print it out on your computer.

You don't have any balls until you release the chute or grab a bonus ball (which will release the chute)...

Re: ball activation

Well the balls are on the other side of the line you are not allowed to cross until auto is over. So, you cant pick em up till then, hence no throw, hence no knock-off...

There are three things that can trigger the release of the chute:

1) Robot hitting 10 pt ball during Autonomous
2) Telekenesis
3) Time (45 Seconds)
