Re: Ideas

I doubt many people will actualy answer this thread, People don't really show thier ideas of what they will animate untill after the competition. Plus I think it's more fun that way. I think it's safe to say that we will be "remixing" last years animation. All new objects and story, but the concept is there. We're going for the "Wow" factor. I hope we can pull it off.

Re: Ideas

Last year We went with a demonstration of what our robot can do and how it applies to the real world.

The idea was to have a house that was burning and then our robot would pass under some rubble that was against the wall creating a space of 14 inches high! Then pick someone up with our arm and carry them out......
All to the music of smoothe criminal

Re: Ideas

ideas can vary depending on how confident you know the software. It's impractical to create an animation based on ideas that are hard to recreate in Max. Unless you're an expert, then anything is possible. So, my suggestion to you is to keep things simple if you're a begginer, yet put as much effort into the animation so it doesn't look like "Crap" (another adj. would be more appropriate, lol)

Personally, I think they should change the theme each year. It's always, "WHat does FIRST mean to you and your team?" something like that.

I hope you come up with a good idea.
-peace.

Re: Ideas

What's up with the robots on trampolines?!? It actually sounds pretty funny. You know what would be even better, (by taking the idea of the post above) ninja robots on trampolines. I don't know why but that just seems hilarious to me...

Just warning you - ninjas has been heavily overused in past years, so dont count on being original there.

Re: Ideas

They may have been over used in the past but I think our animation team has a diffrent way of showing them this year.
