Anyone else wear their operator badge to school?

Or am I just a huge nerd?

Re: Anyone else wear their operator badge to school?

My mentor gave me one this year from the UTC regional to keep. I have it on my desk and I'm not taking it to school (just because I could lose it there and then I would not have it anymore). I didn't think of wearing my operater badge to school, what a good idea.

Re: Anyone else wear their operator badge to school?

well, I don't have an operator badge, but I do wear my wristband from Nats until it falls off of its own accord every year. And I always have my FIRST Volunteer pin on my jacket.
Not to mention the fact that I carry my safety glasses, mini-screw drivers, measuring tape, and zip ties (among other things for robotics) in my purse at all times. hee hee

I have a ton from the last three years... but wearing them in public would only increase total dorkdom.

Re: Anyone else wear their operator badge to school?

If I had one I would wear it seeing how im the only kid from my school who is on a team. So that way when people in school ask me what the button is for I can say "It means I drive a robot that is 10 times better than any stupid battlebot"

O yeah and I'm gonna see if i can wear my wrap party wrist band till next years nat's. But thats if it lasts that long. lol

I hope you slipped it off and are going to put it back on. Please do not keep it on for an entire year.

I wore everything to school. Vest, sarong, pins, necklaces, even temporary tattoos.

The two years that I was human player I wore them on my bag pack. Now that I graduated they are pinned on my wall with my team shirts.
