PARC on steroids
It has come to our attention that PARC has become way to big to run in one day, numbering in at about 40 teams this year we crunched numbers untill we found a way for 5 rounds each. I am simply posting to see how many teams would be interested in attending a 2 day PARC.
Thanks for your imput, Dave |

Re: PARC on steroids
One day is long enough- the distance to travel is quite a haul

Re: PARC on steroids
Distance isn't our problem. It'd cost money for the hotel and it's right between AP examination weeks!!!

2 days would be nice but it would also be to long.

Re: PARC on steroids
I'd thourougly enjoy the two day event living in Lehman (Dallas), however, as I too travel many places for competitions I understand the difficulty of an extra day.

Re: PARC on steroids
The prospect of a 2 day PARC sounds cool, but it does raise some concerns. Would teams be able to leave the robots at the school? Or would they have to take them with them to the hotel? There are other concerns with school/ distance/ hotel, but those would easily be ironed out in the planning stages. Personally who wouldn't want to spend two days in the PARC?

Re: PARC on steroids
2 days would definitely be a lot of fun. But price wise i dont see many teams doing it. Like for us we would just drive there and back both days which doesnt make much sense, yet staying at a hotel doesnt make much sense either. And a lot of other teams are probably in that same boat. IRI on the other hand u can do that because so many teams travel from a far distance away, and the hotel stays make sense.

Re: PARC on steroids
everyone <3's PARC..this is a given. but sometimes 2 days, is just 2 much. the hotels, travelling etc, would raise concerns for a lot of teams. In my eyes possibly dropping the number of teams attending....

Re: PARC on steroids
We understand there are some logistics problems, BUT.....
If we were able to hammer out storage of bots room and board low$$ for the trip esentials, then.... would you be interested in a 2 day PARC. The purpose of this thread would be just to gain an uderstanding of interest levels. It is not meant to be analyzed. Thanks for all of the input so far. Keep it rollin. See you at the PARC!!!!! Re: PARC on steroids
Where would lodging occur for teams? Would they have to travel from Scranton/W-B? Or would you be able to host 35-40 teams at the Shadowbrook?

Re: PARC on steroids
If the interest was there for a 2 day event at PARC we would probably move to an arena in the area. However that would take some planning
