[FLL]: Kickoff
I have been involved with the Lego League in previous years helping out mentoring teams but never from the total start. My question is how does FIRST announce the Lego Challenges (Rules and Scoring)??
Do they just magically appear on the Lego Website at a random time of day?? Will they be put on the website in about 2.5 hours (Midnight)?? Thanks |

Re: [FLL]: Kickoff
Apparently, It's not midnight. I never really worried about it. I was always last to know when the game was out.

Re: [FLL]: Kickoff
I don't know if we got the full animation. For us, it ends right after the girl (Nina? I'm not sure) Gives the password and walks into the FIRST Labs. Is there supposed to be more?

This year's game looks very challenging; especially with reading the "Bus Signs" mission. I'm happy about the possible reseach and presentation topics; they are numerous. Now NYCFIRST is preparing for our own official NYCFIRST FLL Kickoff on Oct. 2 to go over The No Limit Game and all of the rules with the local FLL teams. FUN! ![]() |

The 2004 FLL game will be introduced to the NYC teams on 10/2. The rules and game missions will be reviewed and workshops with given throughout the day. Team members, coaches and parents can ask questions about the new game, rules and all the FLL events happening in the Tri-state area. There will be FLL referee training starting the beginning of November (see me!). Yes, we need as many referee at possible for all the local and Grande Tournament. There will be FLL games held in each of the 5 boro of NYC starting in Nov. thru Jan 2005. The NJ State FLL Tournament is in Dec. There is also the Jersey City FLL Tournament held at the NJ Liberty Science Center and the Newark FLL Tournament held at NJIT University. The NYC/Tri-state FLL Tournament is Feb. 8 & 9- estimation of 140 teams. And don't forget the Westchester FLL Tournament. Lots of referees are needed in the coming months!!!! Volunteers are welcome. (If you can stand me, you're IN. )Thanks for asking. (Details with be posted soon on NYCFIRST.poly.edu) |
