Post Previous FIRST games (<= 2001)

Our team is thinking about looking over old FIRST games and designing robots for them. We also need examples of successful robots to compare our designs with.

I can't find anything on the FIRST site, does anyone have the official documentation from any games earlier (or equal to) 2001?

Re: Previous FIRST games (<= 2001)

As for an overall description of the game in 2001, 2000, and 1999 we have a description of each game on this page.

http://www.team237.com/hist.htm

Just click on the coresponding year and you'll have that info.

As for documents for the games, I have some from 2001. PM me with your e-mail address and I can send them to you.

Re: Previous FIRST games (<= 2001)

www.archive.org has worked for me in general. search usfirst.org and go through the pages. The only years I haven't found information for were 1992-1995 and 2001 (1992-1995 can be found on FIRSTwiki, as Joe Ross stated).
I'm interested in finding the 'exact' white papers for the 2001 game, because this one strikes me as the most unique out of all the FIRST games.

Look at team 71's 2001 robot. That thing was amazing.

Here are manuals from 2001 and 2000: http://www.hbhs.info/html/game_documents.html

I can put up the ones from 199 I got from Gary Dillard sometime tonight.

Well that solves the 2001 game. Now if only there was a place to find the documents for 1992-1994. School closet in New Hampshire possibly?

Re: Previous FIRST games (<= 2001)

Team 177 did pretty well in 2001 and 2004. There is a short video that I did for 2001 in the media section, and the one that I did for 2004 should be there soon **HINT, HINT**. The history section also has pretty good descriptions of the games, going back to 1992.

If you notice, the firstwiki articles have links to both 177's game descriptions and firstrobotics.net's pictures.
