Smilies...

As you all know I have been posting my own smilies on here (Well -from another fourm that i'm apart of) and they have 100+ smilies and this got me thinking.

Why doesn't CD have more smilies? Do they take up that much bandwith? (Even with all the people?)

Abuse of the smilies?

Not enough time to put it all in (Related to Brandon)

Another reasion.

I LOVE smilies and I think they bring that certian 'emotion' to the postings that text can lack. They can also bring laughter (such as I have been told.)

How do you feel about more smilies being brought to CD.com? (Not saying they will be brought just an OT idea that I have thought about many times over...)

[edit] I can't edit the poll - so will a mod please add "I'd like to see more smilies here"

Re: Smilies...

Animated smilies are annoying.

Re: Smilies...

I'm not a huge fan of smilies outside the default few. The big animated ones get really annoying if they're put inside posts and things like that.

Talking Re: Smilies...

I personally love smilies! For my team's forum, I use the snowmen ones just because I think they're awesome!
Who doesn't <3 a happy snowman?

Wink Re: Smilies...

I think all the basic emotions are covered. I would like to see the "wink" smiley ( ) changed though.. It doesn't look like a wink, it looks like a pirate.

And we all like pirates right??? ARGHHHH!!!

But seriously, it doesn't look like a wink.
AIM has a nice wink smiley.

Question Re: Smilies...

For me, I don't really care about whether the smilies are provided or not since I use "text smilies." ^.^ However, it'd be nice to have them since one never knows. I think sometimes the smilies help express one's meaning, but at other times they can hinder. (It's pretty cool to watch the animated ones though.) *lightly shrugs* It all depends on the person...? o.O ...just my opinion....
