South Carolina-area teams: Off-seasons?

Note: I'm posting this out of my own curiosity. If another team sees the results and goes "Hey, we can do this!" then by all means, go ahead.

Alright, so one thing that became painfully obvious to me this past season is that there are virtually no off-seasons in the Southeast. (Hence I skipped class and a radio show to make it to Florida for Robot Rodeo.)

This got me wondering, for the South Carolina teams (or teams willing to get to the Columbia area)...is there interest in an off-season around the area?
