Does anyone know what size gears is on the motor and where I could get a mating gear to put on a window motor? Any suggestions to how I can bolt a sprocket to the gear?

Re: Mating gear for the window motor?

we had a lil fun with that last year... we took the sprocket assembly out of the motor, put a bolt through it, and then attached that to a drill press.. once that was going full speed, we took a grinder to it and ground down the sprocket small enough to fit the other sprocket onto it.. a lil bit of shade tree engineering, but it worked .. i wouldnt reccomend it though...

Re: Mating gear for the window motor?

Last year we removed the sprocket from the window motor, the guys in the machine truck at the Buckeye regional welded a thick washer to the teeth on the sprocket and we bolted a flat chain sprocket to the washer. drilled holes and tapped the washer and used 8 32 button head screws. Then put it all back together. Good luck.
