Camera Movement has Ceased
Okay, I have an interesting situation:
I hooked up the CMU cam a few days ago, powered up the bot, and it snapped to position as it should. I've since downloaded the camera code and had a teammate redo the assembly and it seems to have stopped driving the servo (essentially a few variables changed simultaneously, which is never a good situation to be in). My assembly is for up/down movement only (like the example mount) and the servo is connected to the pan port. No jumper settings have been altered. It does not snap to default when I power it up, nor does it resist if I try to gently move it. Any idea how to go about troubleshooting this? Clarification: The power LED does come on. Re: Camera Movement has Ceased
Well it shouldnt matter, but a) the design given to us only had pan not tilt and b) assuming you have a tilt servo you should plug it into the tilt port, rather than the pan port. Other than that.... No idea

Re: Camera Movement has Ceased
have you tried changing servos?
just make sure that you connect the <left right> servo to pan and the <up down> servo to tilt. if it just stopped moving (and it worked before with the same settings) i would also check the batteries. |
