Muffin Fan Wiring

Do muffin fans have to be wired together onto a breaker or can we just wire them to the power input of the speed controller?

You can wire the muffin fans that are on top of the victors directly into the power terminals on the victor. Though i have seen some teams wire all their fans into one or two breakers so if the breaker for a part kept resetting you still would have power feeding the fans and cooling the item.

Re: Muffin Fan Wiring

we wire our fans to the input side of the pwm. its the easiest way and the fans are only on when the robot is on. it also is one less breaker to deal with

Fans that are not attached to the speed controllers must be wired to a breaker following the wiring rules in the robot manual.
