Dave... will become famous soon enough
IFI Loader and PROG button

Last year or two years ago, I seem to remember being able to download code to the RC with the IFI Loader by simply being tethered to the RC and pressing "DOWNLOAD" on IFI loader (no need to press the "PROG" button on the RC). With this year's controller and IFI Loader, I've noticed that the PROG button needs to be pressed before downloading code. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also, MPLAB seems to hide either the OUTPUT window when compiling, or the windows with .c or .h files that were open before compiling, but after compiling they disappear. It takes some work to restore or maximize them, but again, I don't remember this behavior in years past.

Any help or comments would be appreciated. I might just be going crazy or getting old, but if other people have also noticed this behavior, I'd probably feel better about the whole thing.

Re: IFI Loader and PROG button

Yes, I've seen the new program button behavior. I think it was mentioned as a side-effect of the new firmware - and it's bugging me to no end...

Re: IFI Loader and PROG button

Same thing here with the "Prog" button on the RC.
I can download last year's Master patch and I don't have to use the Prog button, but when using this year's latest Master update I now have to push the Prog button everytime.

I don't suffer the MPLAB oddity you describe with the version 7 I am running.

Re: IFI Loader and PROG button

I've found that if I hit the download button on the ifi loader, wait for it to timeout, then hit it again, it will download. However, this may be a function of my computer.
