brennerator is an unknown quantity at this point
what do we need to provide during inspection?

Hey. I'm from rookie team 1560 in the silicon valley, and we were wandering what we needed to provide during the inspection on the first day of competition. I know we need a list of all the items that we bought and their prices, but do we also need to provide receipts? Also, do we need to list all the items that we used on our robot, or just items that we used but were not in the originial kit?

You need to account for everything used on the robot, not included in the kit. You do not need receipts, you just need to list the price of the item.

I believe one exception to this is speed controllers-They don't count against the cost limit.

Yep - Spikes don't count either.

<R44> ..... The following items are EXCLUDED from the total cost calculation:

• The costs of additional Speed Controllers and Spike Relays obtained from Innovation First Inc. for use with Kit motors.
((See <R44> for more exclusions))

You can find the inspection checklist that will be used at competition here:

http://www2.usfirst.org/2005comp/200... hecklist.pdf

You will find Sections 5.3.4.3 and 5.3.4.4 (<R42> through <R46>) partculary useful when it comes to accounting for cost of parts.
