know of a free gif maker?
does anyone know of any good free GIF Animator programs? i keep finding some free to try. are there any that are completely free?

The Gimp for Windows should be able to make animated GIFs. It's about like photoshop, but it's free.

I'm a professional web developer. I'm good with PHP, Perl, Java/JSP, some RoR, XML, Javascript (AJAX as well), (x)HTML, CSS, etc.. Validated code is good; fully cross-browser code is better (you comply to your users and the software they use, not the other way around. Sorry!)

I have used animator-9 in the past, it works wells and is simple to use.

Just attaches a bunch of pictures and makes them a gif.
