Minnesota School Shooting
As I'm sure that most of us have heard by now, there was a school shooting earlier this week in an indian reservation ~260 miles north of the Twin Cities. I'm not going to go into all the details and stuff, Google has more than enough (within an hour, I probably found ~20+ articles on this). To get to the point, I want to hear what everyone's views are on this.
If you are curious to find some of the neo-Nazi stuff that he posted (I know mainly will flame me for even mentioning this probably), just search for "Jess Weise" on Google...the first link or so will have a lil' archieved page of it. So that people don't think I'm a neo-Nazi, I did this search to find out what his views were...since the news that I've read & heard had nothing of such matter...just that he believed in neo-Nazism. I don't think that Jess' actions were justifiable for any reason, but I do find logic in what he did. Not everyone has the same thresh-hold, so to speak, of ignorance that they can withstand. By ignorance, I do mean that he did have to put up with a lot of people not seeing eye-to-eye with his own views, because they more than likely weren't as educated in Hitler's logic as Jess was. Long story short, I don't think there will ever be justification, even if they find a note explaining word for word why he did what he did and why he killed who he did. There is a difference between justifcation and logic though, and the logic part is what I focus on. I'm not wanting to become a target here because of my views on this (and more of my views will probably be posted later on), I do want to know what others do think, however. ** Also, my apologizes if I made any mis-spellings on anything. If I do, PM me and I'll correct them ASAP. ** |

Re: Minnesota School Shooting
Something related...for anyone who has a live journal, I found out that the shooter did have one...its not interesting, not full of "So and so will die" messages....but its a good example of how stupid people can act...just read the comments....
(Im not linking to it cause its an excellent source of profanity...find it on your own :-p ) EDIT! Nevermind, lj removed all comments in his. Just trust me that it was the lowest of low for people to act ![]() Last edited by GateRunner : 25-03-2005 at 01:03. |

Quote:
I don't know if anyone has seen it, but he created a flash animation depicting someone shooting people, blowing up a cop car, then committing suicide. It can be easily found on the internet, keep in mind it is somewhat violent even if it is a flash animation. |

Re: Minnesota School Shooting
I've spent some time reading more about this, and his posts he has made on the Nazi sites. If you really look at them in an open-mind, the posts aren't mentioning how person X should die or anything like that. It seems like he was just like anyone else trying to express his views on such a contraversal topic, or view on life.
