CMUcam summer projects

Who is planning a vision camera summer project?

My programming mentors can not let go of trying to get that control system item to be an effective peice. We were just getting into the basic operations of the camera as we got a working and driving robot built some time in week four. Alas, we followed a difficult and not so rewarding path of PID control for improving driveability.

So we have a great robot, we did well enough to help 118 and 231 win in Houston, and they want to get some time playing with the code this summer.

I am interested in creating a larger community of players who can trade ideas and concepts this June and maybe into July with the camera and robots. Maybe we start a thread here so all can see or we conduct a more efficient communication system on a team board or via email.

Post replies here or send me a private or regular email so that I can collect a list of interested parties for the discussion.

Thanks,

APS

Wouldn't it be funny if Carnegie Mellon made it a requirement that you got that CMU camera to work before you enrolled in the fall. I can see it right now: "New freshman requirements for c/o 2006 freshman."

Folks following this thread should be sure to read the posts there as some specific programming advice is dished out.

I knew there was some place that I was meaning to link that thread, but I couldn't quite remember where. Thanks.
