Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

Does anyone have a model of the CIM with Dewalt tranny? Or even just the transmission would be good. Thanks.

Re: Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

I don't know about dewalt trannys, but CIMs are available with the KoP trannys from Innovation FIRST . These are detailed, but if you want materials, you will have to make your own.

Re: Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

Umm... I believe that the CIM's are on the FIRST CAD library http://www.firstcadlibrary.com/ . And if y'all are still wanting the DeWalt transmission I could probably draw one for you after X-mas break. Just e-mail me at velociraptor1102@yahoo.com if you're interested. I did a rough sketch of one last year in Inventor, but I could certainly to a better one. Just let me know

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

I have one started .......
I'll see if I can finish it up over the next 3-4 weeks.

My plan is to model just the Dewalt parts the best I can. I have no prints of these parts so the model (especially the molded parts) may not be as accurate as I like it.

If anyone knows of some documents with dimensions, please let me know!

p.s.

Some of you already know that my son had brain surgery a few weeks ago so my timing and schedule are dependent on how things are going.

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

well, if someone is in a jam and needs a model, you can download the one I made from www.team1742.com, just go to the downloads section. it's a little rough, i didn't have much time to do it in, but anyone is welcome to check it out. let me know if you need a different file type, i believe it is an inventor 10 file on the website.

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

I think the links were removed off 1742's website. Is the first cad library going to have the parts in the NBD paper, i.e. the servo plate, (not including the dewalt gear box) .

Does anyone have CAD of the Dewalt gearbox that they would like to share? Thanks in advance!

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

It'd be great if someone could take a few minutes to convert the model to some generic solid model formats (IGES, STEP, SAT, etc.) and share those with the forum. You can try attaching the files to a post as an archive or, perhaps, sending them along to Ed Sparks so he can host them on his site.

the DeWalt transmission from 1742 is still on their site... it's kinda hidden though. don't ask me why. it's on the movies page, scroll to the very bottom. sorry for the inconvenience...

...I'm in talks with one of the team mentors/leaders about getting the links fixed and placed on the front page. Not sure when they'll get the kinks worked out though.
