Re: New Position
That's all one position!?!?!
That's a lot on one plate so you may want to delegate some of those tasks to others. Keeping up on the rules is pretty easy if you stay on top of things. Read the Q&A every day or at least twice a week, else it will overwhelm you. Also ChiefDelphi is pretty good for that sort of stuff as long as you remember that nothing anyone here says is official. Good Luck, Ian |

Re: New Position
....Sounds very similar to my position actually. Our team is setup like a company - two VPs and 4 department heads - each VP covers two departments. In my case, I'm over construction and design. It's my responsibility to literally memorize the manual, kit of parts, etc. I literally do all of the things you mentioned - plus I'm the one who gets the lovely job of keeping up with attendance and everyone's grades (below and C and you are gone!!!!)

Re: New Position
Your job description seems to be lacking one hugely important task--making sure that the actual integration of different sub groups comes together without problems.
the mechanics, electronics, and whatever other groups you have can make amazing things to put on the robot, but if they don't go together...you've got a problem. |
