COTS Mecanum Wheels
We're searching for a source of 6-8" COTS mecanum wheels (preferably
8"...). Every source we've found so far is either asking literally thousands of dollars per wheel and/or are not suitable for this contest. URL pointers, prices, and/or evaluation feedback of COTS mecanum wheels you've tried would all be deeply appreciated. Also, if we WERE to make a set of them, whose design here would (in most team's opinion) be the best, and easiest to fabricate? They're quite a complicated device! We don't want to hinge our robot delivery on a such a complicated thing unless we're SURE we could make it work in time! Thanks! - Keith |

Re: COTS Mecanum Wheels
Try this thread. It's near the bottom.
If you can't get those, then 190, 357, and 330 seem to be the main teams that used or tried mecanums last year. I think at least one has plans, but mecanums are hard to build from scratch. |
