Mechanum Wheels

I am wondering if any teams have used Mechanum wheels in past years.

And if so, did you make the wheels your self, or did you buy them, and if you bought them, where did you buy them.

Also, any teams that did use them, how did they work, are they worth using?

Thanks in advance!

These are what i'm talking about:

Re: Mechanum Wheels

I know Royal Assault (Team 357) used mechanum wheels last year.

Check out this thread: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...t=jester+drive

They look like they would be pretty difficult to fabricate but the results are amazing. Check out some of Royal Assault's videos and you will see!

Re: Mechanum Wheels

I highly recomend you search CD about this. I think their are 2 pages of threads mentioning this topic or examples of use. Tell you what ill do it for you http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/se...?searchid=1341, Take a look through those. Mecanums have been used by a couple teams in various ways.
