When I was a project manager at Andersen Consulting I kept the following sign posted in a discrete place:
The Six Phases of a Project 1. Enthusiasm 2. Disillusionment 3. Panic 4. Search for the guilty 5. Punishment of the innocent 6. Rewards for the uninvolved Where is your robot today? |

Thats interesting
I think most teams are in one and/or two, three and such don't come until either the last week or two, or during the competition, and I believe the others follow quickly after that. |

Not surprisingly, we're still enthusiastic. What is surprising however, is that we've actually accomplished a very important task, which we usually don't even start to think about until week 3!
