Skyway hubs with IFI sprockets?

One of my teammates asked for me to find this out. Are IFI sprockets (like the ones for the wheels) compatible with the Skyway wheel hubs?

Re: Skyway hubs with IFI sprockets?

They sure are. The now-standard bolt circle is 1.875" diameter and can be found on the IFI sprockets and wheels, the Andymark sprockets and wheels, and the Skyway hubs.

Evil Robotics is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Skyway hubs with IFI sprockets?

They kind of are standard. The 1.875 bolt centers are the same but the center clearace hole for the bearing is not, so IFI sprocket do not self center on the plastic hubs with Skyway wheels. Be sure to use counter sunk flat head screws with the aluminum sprockets. That helps them center.

When we switched 6 wheels from steel 28 tooth sprockets to 28 tooth aluminum sprockets we saved about 3 lbs total.

Also remeber that the Skyway wheels are slightly smaller than the IFI true 8" diameter wheels. I think that was covered in another thread.
