FIRST-made Scooter

I was thinking of taking one of the first gearboxes with 2 CIM's, putting on the stock sprocket onto it, using stock FIRST 8 inch wheels with the 28tooth sprocket on it and making a scooter...would it be efficient yet fast for a 135 pound guy....i remember the stock gearing in the gear box itself is like 12.75:1

I can work I guess if you use gyro sensors right?

someone made a friction drive twin CIM driven scooter a year or two ago. see if someone can find that.. and i wanna try that... but our cims are being used.... soo ya..

I dont understand what Arko posted (sorry bad english comprehension) but why does it need gyros? I remember last year a guy made a scooter but it wasnt with the gear box..it was just 2 CIM's connected by one chain, it was cool

oh lol....ok...I get it....lol....so yeah...what do you guys think of this and how well would it go?

One of our engineers and his son made one using 1 CIM motor on a chain drive 3 years ago and it went about 4ft/s at their gearing. Slow, but it got you places :-D

K i calculated the gearing will be too low so i will create my own gearing...2CIMS mounted side by side...one chain goes around the furthest to the front of the scooter CIM while the other motor is used as a tensioner but also as a drive for the chain
