...well I was looking for the bill of materials and I was also wondering how they would know how much money we spent on materials and a good way to keep track.

Re: BOM

you have to make that BOM, FIRST doesnt know what you put on your robot that is what the BOM is for, you put materials and pricing on it

They won't know how much you've spent. Inspectors will look at your BOM, and if they see something suspicious, they may call you on it. but ultimately FIRST leaves it to the teams to document what they've spent in good faith.

Keep a list of all the parts you've ordered and plan on using on your robot. If you don't make the BOM before shipping the robot, I highly suggest taking pictures of the robot from all angles so you can visually account for everything on the bot, instead of relying on memory.

I can think of four. 1) Advance BOM--for the field. 2) full BOM for the field (if released). 3) KOP BOM--kit inventory. 4) Robot BOM--make it yourself. Include prices. Including kit parts is a good idea, but I'm not sure those need to be on there (I checked Section 5 and it wasn't in there.).

Re: BOM

What BOM are you looking for the BOM for the team field? or somthing else?

if you are looking for the BOM for the field, the parts and directions, are all located in Section 3 of the manual on the Documents and Updates Page of the the USFIRST website
