Lightbulb BattleBots Help

Since not a lot of people responded to my other post (thanks purplehaze) Im looking for about 10-25 people who would want to help build a battlebot. We need engineers and people in all fields of robotics(Drive, design, finance, machinists(sp?), etc.) We are located in SE PA (philadelphia), but it is availible to all. We will start meeting when we have enough people, since this is CHiefdelphi, im hoping for about 10-25 people who would want to help. We have a few ideas but are open to anything. Start to leave posts on the forum and we will go from there

My email is Kam_Shah@msn.com

Shrey!!!!!

BSMFIRST is on a distinguished road
Try posting on the BattleBots forum that is unless you want exclusively FIRST people. You should also consider making a much smaller team; anything over 10 would be too cumbersome even though it does work in FIRST.

Agreed, my FIRST team was entirely too big. After doing Battlebots, I think 7-10 is ideal, and that's even pushing it.

I wouldn't mind helping with design and possibly some build (I do have a CNC machine in my basement but don't tell anyone)

Yeah, I did compete. The only picture online that I know of is at

http://www.robotcombat.com/bbiqbots.html

My team's robot is Checkmate, and the members from my team all participate in FIRST on Ramtech #59. Keep in mind while looking at these robots that all of them were made by high school students.

-Dallin

BTW, I wish I had a CNC in my basement Those things are very cool...makes machining MUCH easier.

He also competed in battle bots ... i think that's a little bit more help in this case Anyway, we're in VA, so he's not much help to you building wise, but if you have any questions he'd be glad to help most likely.

Cool Battlebot contestant from Philly

I met Stuart Kessler from Plymouth Meeting PA 19462

He competed in two prelims this week (won one, lost the second)

skessler@telocity.com

I am sure he'd talk to the Philly guys.
