Camera Success??

Has anyone successfully used the camera in a competition this year?
How well did it work?

Re: Camera Success??

Our shooting relies 100% on the camera. Our turret is completely auto-aimed using the camera and potentiometers for feedback. It worked pretty well at Great Lakes. We think we can do better, so there should be some great improvements for Toronto.

Re: Camera Success??

Our camera drives our robot in autonomous mode, and worked really well. I only just got autonomous working in our last few matches, but it did end up scoring a few which means success! During user control, the camera helps align the shooter, although it can be done manually aswell by the user, the align worked great. Camera was tracking from half field about(I need to refocus though I think).
I think the camera worked out pretty nicely for us even though it was dead from shipping and we had to replace it on the practice day...once it was up and running and fresh on batteries, it worked perfecly! Seeya guys in Waterloo!

Re: Camera Success??

The camera worked beautifully. Our mechanical rotator we built for it to move did not work so well, but once we got it steady we used nothing but camera all the time (it's such a relief to have your programming working so well that you can shoot blindly with another robot in front of yours and still make more than half of your shots).
