Israeli Regional - End of day 2 out of 3

Wow!!!!
what a game!!!
ive got to say that aim high is much better than triple play!

after 1 day of practice and 1 day of qualifying matches my team (1578) is the highest seated team with 7 wins and 1 loss, team 1657 is second with 7 wins and no losses (missing one game).

the gameis intense and has EVERYTHING to do with strategy!
right now we are hoping that we win our remaining two matches and that 1657 will lose one of their remaining 3 matches, that way we still are highest seated because we have the highst score in one game (63) so our average score is pretty high too...

More on who won and all the other things tommorow!

just so you know: in israel the the championship tickest go to the rookie all-star, the chairman's award winner and the highest seated team in the alliance that wins the elimination tournament.

see you all tommorow!

p.p.s some videos here:
http://www.avivrobotics.net/videos.html

team 1577 website.

it is 5:30 am now and the regional continues in less than 2.5 hours!!!!!

Why don't all three teams in the winning alliance have a chance to go to the championship? I'm certain it's expensive to travel, but I'd think that the teams should at least be given the opportunity. It can't be because your regional is so small, either, because you have more teams than we did at Pittsburgh. Hm...

I believe it is because there is a sponsership, and it is enough to only cover 3 teams i guess....

there was some confusion among the first officials about this very point, but it has been clerified that this is the case.

also, if this were the case, there wouldnt be any problem for the first seated team to pick the second one, and pretty much trample over all the other teams..... (at least here the current 1st and 2nd together would surely beat 3rd and 4th together...)
