Battery Power
Does anyone know for sure if you can use and hobby battery pack for the VEX? or does it use some special connector and also what about the controller can you buy any other battery pack for that aswell?

most batteries work, Radioshack batteries (that are 7.2v) I think fit this connection. We use them, just check the connector on the batteries before buying them.

Standard R/C battery packs, for both 7.2 volts ('bot) and 9.6 volts (transmitterr) have the correct connections and fit just fine. Good advice from "gdo" though, and bring the controller and transmitter with you to be 100% certain.

We bought some RC batteries and they work fine, but the leads are not as long as the ones on the Vex Batteries. You can also buy a connector repair kit at RS if the connectors are incorrect.

Ok thanks everyone! I actually got the RS battery set for the VEX but i wanted to be sure i could get replacments if i ever needed to!
