Everyones Favorite part of Nationals
Hey Everyone
I was just wondering what everyone's favorite part of nationals was, like finale, walking threw the dome, or a more specific event. I know mine was when after we had won a match and were walking out to form the field to the pits, I jumped up into the stands(like the end zone jump) and some people from 869 held me up and we congratulating me like they do to the players at football games.(And to you guys for not dropping me ) As if UTC hadn't already had me hooked to FIRST, Nationals definiteitly did. For me, my favorite part (even though I was at Nationals via Webcast) was watching Dave do his handstand with his red dot like he always does and always did. Dave is the greatest MC EVER! |

Re: Everyones Favorite part of Nationals
By far the very first 195 to 968 ball transfer!
Nobody expected it I mean seriously 115-108 (I might be wrong on 108) without out that extra load and getting on the ramp it would have been over! I also loved the teamwork between 25_968_195 like 968 helping 195 back up from that tip and 25 stopped defending to run over and save 968 from tipping on the ramp this alliance was just awesome to watch Newton was a killer! |

My favorite part was definately walking around the pits on Saturday and meeting a lot of people (more than at the webhug, interestingly enough)

My favourite part was being able to witness a fellow Canadian team make it all the way for the first time in history! They put up an amazing fight. I also really enjoyed the fireworks at the team social!

Re: Everyones Favorite part of Nationals
to be honest, my favorite part was watching the A-Bomb Being pulled off. That was amazing and nobody had any idea that it could happen. Even my team use to joke around with the idea. But seeing it happen from the side lines was an amazing thing.

Re: Everyones Favorite part of Nationals
One of my favorite things was the bond between my team (MORT) and,Da Bears (247) and Tech Tigers (1251), who we won the Palmetto regional with.
-When we went over to Curie to cheer for our fellow Palmetto Champion Alliance Partners match on Friday. They didn't win, but seeing all of our teams together again, cheering and flooding the stands, was really awesome. -When the Mentors and coach on Da Bears shaved their heads and had Mohawks, and then painted their heads with 'MORT' on one side and '11' on the other, and they came to watch us in the quarter finals along with a bunch of Tech Tigers sitting in the stands with us. -When on Thursday so many people had their "I helped 1251 get to the nationals' shirts on. |

Re: Everyones Favorite part of Nationals
My favorite part was seeing all of these robots that I only got to see on Chief Delphi prior to the event.
I'd watch 1114, 1503 and 1680 walk by, 494 and 70 walk by, 968 and 254 walk by, 179 walk by, 25 walk by. It was just an incredible feeling. Then meeting one of the kids from 469 who could tell you every little detail about every robot in our division. It was scary. "Yeah, our third partner is 650" "Oh yeah, they have 6 pneumatic wheels" No exaggeration. |
