Speaking of life-sized games..
I did a search and noticed nobody ever mentioned this little gem. Seeing as Freddy brought up the skyscraper Tetris game I felt it fitting to raise attention to NYU's 2004 invention: Pac-Manhattan. I'm actually surprised that nobody has ever brought this up. I mean, this is FIRST!
Pac-Manhattan was a graduate project that recreated the '80s classic on the streets of NYC using new technology (cell phones, wi-fi, custom tracking software, etc.). Players were monitored in real time and broadcast from a central server, so viewers could tune in online and watch the fun. It's a little bit more active than skyscraper Tetris, though possibly less technologically advanced. Still, the '80s throwback is certainly a plus! |

Funny you should mention Tetris. That catchy tune that everyone knows is a Russian folk song called Korobeiniki.
