Critique my image processing program...
Post your email address and I will mail it to you along w/ source code...
its basically an attempt at trying to find the "road" in an image (DARPA anyone)... right now you have to enter in a pixel that is road colored and it will try to find the rest of them... i'm working on it so that it can figure out where the road is on it's own... it doesn't work well in high contrast light etc... i gotta work on it for a lot longer...anyways if anyone wants to help thanks. so basically all it does right now is try to find a single colored object and it's key edges. |

Re: Critique my image processing program...
Hm... I'd be interested in looking. It is the week before finals, however. Don't expect a quick reply.

Re: Critique my image processing program...
I've been working on something similar (at this point, it can find my cat's nose in pictures), so I'd like to see how you've approached the problem.

Re: Critique my image processing program...
okay ... i guess ISPs don't like emailing EXEs, i'll load it to my stanford server
here it is, it's in the folder image_processing. http://www.stanford.edu/~ssyed/ Download all the files in image_processing into a folder, view image1.bmp, run the program then view image2.bmp. it will ask you for coordinates ... i've listed coordinates of stuff in the pic already ... you can try your own pics as long as they are BMP OVER 800X600 pixels Last edited by Salik Syed : 25-05-2006 at 22:05. |

Re: Critique my image processing program...
the exe looks good in the short time I've given it so far... what version of Easybmp do you use, I have 1.01 on my system and the source didn't compile, then again it could be dev, what compiler do you use?

Re: Critique my image processing program...
I am also using 1.01 ... i use Bloodshed Dev C++
EDIT : i see you are also using Dev C++ ... i wonder what the issue is... it worked very easy for me... just #include EasyBMP.h and import all the Easybitmap files into the project.. |

Re: Critique my image processing program...
The link sends me to a .pif file. I am curious about the code because i was going to start work on a similar project. Any help as to where to look to get started (sample code or explanations) would be helpful.

The starting point (and often ending point) for all your computer vision needs. You can do powerful things by cascading the various filters at your disposal. |
