1902 auto dance mode

At Mission Mayhem there was a "best autonomous dance" 3-4 teams competed and 1902 was one of them. unfortunately we could not get out robot to work properly (we later found out the radio on the Field died). but the link below is a short video of half of our autonomous mode. hope you enjoy.

... very good one team 1902. You guys don't stop surprising me. Would have been one of the most coolest one if you guys actually got the robot to work at that point of time. Team 1523 and team 710 participated in the robot dance too. If someone has video of those two teams, please post it here. I personally loved team 710's robot dance.

I wish me and my team had gone to Mission Mayhem. I would have made our robot shoot out balls to the tune of the 1812 overture.

Re: 1902 auto dance mode

(I think robotics girls get a twisted sense of cute... aka baby sidecutters/dikes!!!)

I thing the best part is the random ball shooting act

This whole thing reminds me of those days when you went to the Rollerrama (maybe that's just us folks up here who have a few of those) and did that in rollerskates/blades....

Re: 1902 auto dance mode

i agree with anna~marie.

as a robotics girl, i have a really odd sense of what's cute.

that, and the guys on my team just don't seem to get how protective i am of "my baby"...or, as they know it, "that pile of metal."

great job guys. i think i might just have to turn that into a summer project for our team. =]

While I unfortunately do not have video of 710's dance on video, it was definitely awesome... if the song (Paul Wall - Riding Dirty) was really picked on the fly, that's amazing. Some highlights included lifting the blocker mechanisms along with the beat, while spinning in circles (reminded me of a circus swing).

However, I do have a video of the 1523 MARS dance (us ). See it at http://marsbot.org/1523dance. It is part of our full length Mission Mayhem video.

*Back on topic* Very nice auton! That could of easily of been a winner in the dance... stupid alliance station (there was nothing else wrong, right?). Great job though to whoever programmed it! You guys are awesome!

Thanks to Florida First and Arefin for putting together this amazing event!

Assuming you are talking about 1902's dance, it is a Google video so it should work as long as you have a recent Flash player. I threw up a mirror anyway, available here. This is the high quality mpeg 4 version (works on an iPod), ripped with the firefox extention VideoDownloader.
