Robotic Amusements on FOX2 News (Detroit)

A story about Robotic Amusements (the company founded by Joe Johnson and Mike Ciavaglia) is going to be on FOX2 News (Detroit) tonight at 6pm. The story will be featuring their Robot Basho™ game (the King-of-the-Hill game loosely based on the Sumo Wrestling).

Please, if you can, watch and give positive feedback here. Joe and Mike have both done a lot of good things for FIRST, Chief Delphi (both the team and this site) and any positive feedback on this story that you can give will really help their company.

The story will be digitized and put on YouTube in the next day or two, so if you miss it, or can't get FOX2 Detroit, look back here for a link.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a ton for the positive PR on this video.

It is really rewarding to see this thing come to fruition after 2 years of the chase.

I am sorry for the shameless plug but I am going to do it anyway.

It would mean a lot to my efforts if this video got to the main page of some of the larger social networking site and blogs*.

So, I am asking for your help. You can help generate buzz if you go to digg.com and digg our story and go to reddit.com and upmod our story. If you are not registered members you can't vote, but it only takes seconds to register for each site.

It would REALLY help us if we get to the front page of either of these two sites -- we are not too far from making it on the digg site (for the folks new to digg, all you have to do is register and click on the "digg it" link -- leave a comment if you'd like, but we really need folks to click the digg it link). Getting on digg's front page will drive 100K's of hits to the video -- and probably catch the eye of other sites/blogs as well.

I don't think this is quite the right video to rocket us to success, but I am hoping to get a small bump that will plant the seed to a larger splash in next week when we have our website redone with the really cool video we've produced that is more targeted at showing off the Game than my garage.

Thanks again. I hope everyone will forgive the unseemlier aspects of my begging for Diggs. I can only say that Robotic Amusements will try its best to repay the debt we owe to the FIRST community in due time...
