Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

Sunday
Buffalo at Miami
I love my Bills but Miami is going to be angry and they at home. Looks like the Bills are gonna be 0-2.

Carolina at Minnesota
The Pantehrs are gonna come back hard and take it out on the Vikings.

Cleveland at Cincinnati
Cincy looks like the real deal. The Browns offense is nowhere near as potent as the Chiefs.

Detroit at Chicago
I garuntee that the Lions won't even score 6 points. The Bears D is scary good. The Lions offense only scares thier own fans.

Houston at Indianapolis
This is gonna get ugly. Fast.

New Orleans at Green Bay
I should know better but I guess I need to learn again. Bring the pain. whimper...

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia
Phili is out to prove they are for real and will win a hard fought close battle late.

Oakland at Baltimore
I feel bad for Art Shell. I really do.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta
The Falcon's D is looking good. The Bucs O looks lost.

Arizona at Seattle
Free ride is over Cardinals. Time to pay.

St. Louis at San Francisco
I truly mist be out of my mind....

Kansas City at Denver
The Snake save his job for one more week.

New England at N.Y. Jets
Reality kicks in the Jets door.

Tennessee at San Diego
This should be over quick.

Washington at Dallas
I'm taking Dallas just because they're home.

Monday
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville
Pittsbugh lives off of the run. Jackson is impossible to run on. First loss for the Superbowl champs.

Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

Sunday
Buffalo at Miami
I liked how Buffalo played and i don't think Miami can handle it. It wil be a close one asusual.

Carolina at Minnesota
Minnesota looked good and i say thier D can handle Carolina.

Cleveland at Cincinnati
Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer... need i say more?

Detroit at Chicago
Chicago's D will be the deciding factor of this game.

Houston at Indianapolis
Houston who?

New Orleans at Green Bay
Favre will re-bound. (of course)

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia
Mcnabb is looking sweet for an guy fresh off a injury. No more stupid TO to bug the team.

Oakland at Baltimore
What did Oakland score last night?

Tampa Bay at Atlanta
Where's Vick now? Ohh, darn he's over there.

Arizona at Seattle
Too bad Arizona will not have a winning streak more then 1.

St. Louis at San Francisco
This is goign to be a close one and i will have to go with Bulger.

Kansas City at Denver
Larry Johnson better be excellent this game and make me proud.

New England at N.Y. Jets
Tom vs. Chad.... Tom wins always.

Tennessee at San Diego
Who's the starting QB for Titans?

Washington at Dallas
TO is a punk and won't do much.

Monday
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville
If Big Ben is in good shape this should be another great game.

Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

Sunday
Buffalo at Miami : Tough choice, both put up fights against tough opponents in week 1. Hopefully Culpepper doesn't blow this one.

Carolina at Minnesota : Hoping Steve Smith comes back.

Cleveland at Cincinnati : Not much thought needed here.

Detroit at Chicago : Fresh off their shut-out, another shut-out (or low scoring at least)!

Houston at Indianapolis : No-brainer.

New Orleans at Green Bay : New Orleans runs over Green Bay. Green Bay now playing for 1st overall pick.

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia : Giants in a great game... unless those "Manning Bowl" refs follow them.

Oakland at Baltimore : Baltimore and Oakland get their second shut-outs. Oakland in competition with Green Bay for that 1st pick.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta : Tampa's D getting old, Offense not ready yet.

Arizona at Seattle : Seattle shuts down the Edge, Shaun runs rampant

St. Louis at San Francisco : St. Louis surprised me (and Denver) last week.

Kansas City at Denver : Hard to choose from these 2 losers. Problem for KC is:
Running will only get you so far. (see past Bronco playoff attempts)
and Trent Green is gone, Passing yardage could be hard to come by for KC.

New England at N.Y. Jets : NE still wins without a good/great WR. maybe they can trade for Jerry Porter...

Tennessee at San Diego : LT keeps the Chargers going.

Washington at Dallas : Bledsoe won't throw this one away... hopefully.

Monday
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville : 2 great Defenses, but Leftwich and the Jax O don't appeal to me.

Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

Sunday
Buffalo at Miami-Buffalo is going to play Miami hard but their poor quaterbacks will lose the game for them.
Carolina at Minnesota-This is almost a pick-em if Steve Smith isn't fully healthy. I still like Carolina on the road
Cleveland at Cincinnati -This is a no brainer, the best offense in the league (Take that INDY) against an average D is a recipe for disaster.
Detroit at Chicago-UPSET I may sound like a homer but Detroit's Defense is pretty good, slowing Shaun Alexander down, and Thomas Jones is less of a back then he is. 6-3 Detroit
Houston at Indianapolis-Yeah this is going to be ugly. The worst team in the league is going to get destroyed.
New Orleans at Green Bay-I'm not going to lie to you here, this is a pick-em as well. Green Bay has no defining skill, while New Orleans will have at least some form of offense.
N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia-I love McNabb but Eli Manning is looking ot rebound from a tough loss.
Oakland at Baltimore There is plenty of romm on the Baltimore Bandwagon, for everyone to jump on now.
Tampa Bay at Atlanta-I can't pick Michael Vick ever, It jsut can't be done, I'm sorry. He just isn't a quaterback.
Arizona at Seattle-It won't be hard for the Seahawks to beat the wildly overated Cardinals.
St. Louis at San Francisco-San Fran is a lousy team and will be beaten by the pretty good St. Louis Ram team.
Kansas City at Denver-Kansas City will win this one, in a Mile High Shoot-Out
New England at N.Y. Jets-The Jets are not that good and will be killed by New England.
Tennessee at San Diego-San Diego won a game without really even throwing the ball, expect that to continue here.
Washington at Dallas-Washington's offense looked pathetic last week, struggling against the Vikings
Monday
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville-The Pittsburgh defensehas is excellent and will shut down Jacksonville.

Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

Decided via Canadian quarter coin flip (we'll see how many people it beats)....

Queen Elizabeth is the 1st team listed; the elk (I think it's an elk) is the 2nd team listed

Sunday
Buffalo at Miami
Carolina at Minnesota
Cleveland at Cincinnati
Detroit at Chicago
Houston at Indianapolis
New Orleans at Green Bay
N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia
Oakland at Baltimore
Tampa Bay at Atlanta
Arizona at Seattle
St. Louis at San Francisco
Kansas City at Denver
New England at N.Y. Jets
Tennessee at San Diego
Washington at Dallas
Monday
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville

Darn that Queen Elizabeth II. I had a feeling she was a Stealers fan.

I'm thinking more like 50-60. The over/under is 44.5

Can you explain to me what exactly a quarterback is.
To me a quarterback is the person who manages the game on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive leader. For the past two games, he has ran/thrown for 4 touchdowns combined.
You may say his number are low. But then again, look at the percentage of run plays that the Falcons call. Also, Vick is in the west coast offensive. Mostly little short routes. He completed 66% of his passes. I would say that aint to bad...

Re: NFL Pickem Week 2

i have always said that mobile quarterbacks don't work. they may do good in a season they may even make it to the NFC championship game. but have you seen one win a super bowl. and by mobile quarterback i mean that they run more then they throw. Vick will not last as long other...non running quarterbacks in the league. i mean look at mcnabb...hey was all like ooooo imma run all over the place...then he realized that throwing for 300 yards and 3 tds is better then running for 100 and a td and only throwing for 100 and a td and maybe not even throwing a td. and yes he may have thrown for 66%of his passes but thats easy wen you only throw 20 times a game if that.
