[OCCRA]: Strain Relief Bolt

Is it legal to attach a second strain-relief bolt to the control box to make it easier to untangle the wires if we have to access them?

Answer: The strain relief bolt was placed at the location it is at because of the position of the components located within the plastic box. I would question why an additional bolt needs to be installed. Looking at the box and the amount of wires the hole is large enough to pass thru all the wires.

I would suggest that you lable and bundle the existing wires into neat strands all tie wrapped to the bolt as the wires pass thru. Strain relief is just that - relieving the strain on the wires as they connect to items within the box.

I see no real need to allow additional strain refiefs.

If I am missing something please discuss this at the next competition.
