Programming Kit

Hey,

We recently receieved a Vex Programming kit from vexlabs... but there was no CD of version of easy C version 1.1.... Can someone explain why that is? I'm kind of freaking out, because our team's competition is in 2 weeks and we need to test our motor...

Thanks,

Fred

Fred,

I would call IFI the first thing tomorrow at 903-453-0800.

In the past, they have resolved conflicts for me with both speed and courtesy.

Regards,

Mike

In the mean time, if you need it fast, you can download a trial version of easyC from the Intelitek web site. It lasts (I think) a week before you need to license it.

Follow the links as if you are buying easyC, then there's an opportunity to download it. That will get you the current version, but you probably should upgrade to it anyway since it's a lot better.

It requires that the MicroChip compiler be installed already, but you probably got that from VexLabs.

Re: Programming Kit

A recent FIRST email explained that, until last week, programming kits and FVC bundle kits were shipping with a voucher for EasyC version 2.0 since version 1.0 was pulled from the kits.

Any purchases or shipments from here on will come with EasyC version 2.0 and previous orders should get their software soon.

Also, if you bought a programming kit at RadioShack with version 1.0, you can upgrade to version 2.0 at the Intelitek website for $50. Since programming kits were half-price at RS upgrading will bring your cost to the original kit price.
