Hub for Wheel attachments

Are we going to have to order the hubs for this years wheels or does anyone know another way to attach them?

Re: Hub for Wheel attachments

For the kit AndyMark wheels, they're molded in.

Re: Hub for Wheel attachments

How do we attach an axle to it? I see on the andymark website that they sell univeral and hex hubs which attach to the holes in the plastic hub. The universal looks like it has a key attachment. Is there any way to attach an axle with the parts in the kit?

The kitbot is designed to use dead axles. Place the supplied bearings into the AndyMark wheel and bolt the provided sprocket to the 1.875" bolt circle, also on the wheel. The axle material must be supplied by the teams.

If you want to drive the wheel via a key or hex stock, you'll need to buy or manufacture a separate hub.

Re: Hub for Wheel attachments

There should be a bag called "Drive train bag", I think. It should have sprockets and bearings. Just push 2 bearings into each wheel. Then bolt the sprockets on. Axels are not provided in the kit. I think you need a 7/16 axel, but i really dont remember so dont quote me on that.

EDIT: Looks like i was beat to the post.
