2007 Animation Ideas

DART's animation team wants to know what everyone thinks of the prompt and what ideas everyone are throwing around.

We suggested some ideas about (since it is environmental) a robot cutting down trees for the wood and replanting them as a way to save the planet.

Re: 2007 Animation Ideas

We're throwing around different ideas for "doom scenes," focusing on materials/lighting for the proper effect. Then again, there's only two of us, and neither of us really knows what we're doing, so I'm not sure how far we'll get.

We're trying to steer away from using robots to avoid really complex modeling. Would having no robots in an FRC animation be allowed? It does seem sort of odd.

Re: 2007 Animation Ideas

Our team is doing something more broad and focusing on a specific idea to improve the environment. It's a statement which conveys that there is a lot going in the wrong direction with the environment, and unless we work together to get the right piece to fit in, it'll go to shambles. That the enironment isn't like a lot of other things. If you break it, you can't remake it.

Having no robots in FRC animation competition is alright. Many winning animations don't incorporate robots at all. Whether it's cliche, difficult, or whatever, it's your creative freedom to forget about robots. Whatever makes the message the clearest to the viewer.

What if you make a world where trees are people and people are trees. So the trees are running around cutting humans down.

Gruesome but funny.
We're going along with our priginal hypnotising idea and just retooling it to the environmental theme.
