Game Piece Position

Team 1804 here, and we were curious, in the Rack n Roll animation it shows game pieces being rolled out to the bots, and it also shows them laying against the home area wall. We looked through the manual and it says nothing of this. Will the game pieces really be laying against the wall?? If so, this would very much de-complicate our scoring arm...
