Inventor software trouble/ FIRST Base trouble

When you guys downloaded and installed Autodesk Inventor, where you able to get Autodesk Mechanical (It was part of the Autodesk Inventor package)?

One more thing, about the error involving having a flash player too current for Autodesk Inventor to load, how did you solve it? I tried what it recommended, but I didn't get anyware.

Re: Inventor software trouble/ FIRST Base trouble

Here is a tutorial on our website about installing Inventor, which does address the flash player issue. You basically have to uninstall it using the uninstaller from Macromedia's site (link in the tutorial) since it doesn't even show up in Add/Remove Programs. Then, finish the Inventor installation, and when Firefox/IE prompts you to install flash player the next time you visit a flash page, install it as usual, and Inventor still seems to work fine.

Re: Inventor software trouble/ FIRST Base trouble

In general, there shouldn't be any problems with Flash Player and Inventor. Error 1406 while installing is probably the most common issue with installing Inventor...here is Autodesk's page on solving the problem:

Mechanical Desktop should install along with Inventor. If you're having problems, you can install Inventor without Mechanical Desktop, and once Inventor is working, come back to the setup program any time and install Mechanical Desktop.
